Is anyone else really sick of being cold? Besides cute boots, I have found no other reason to enjoy winter & the spa’s reception seems to cling onto the cold in an extreme expert manner 🥶
A thought came to mind while making notes in my diary, my shoulders tight close to my ears, feet feeling like I was walking on wet grass at midnight; when the room, your mind & your work are giving you reasons to feel frozen, how do you keep the fire inside you burning?
Life is a lot right?! Talking to my friends who have their own set of challenges makes me understand why it’s so important to be kind always. How would we manage to cope with the things life throws at us if we don’t have a wild, tenacious fire within? We all have our source of strength & these days I’m realising more & more how fundamental it is to bring myself back to those important things.
- Unwavering in Commitment
- Remaining Hopeful
- Finding Joy
- Staying Expectant
I had to pull myself into alignment so many times but I think this month might just top the list, one day you just wake up & realise you aren’t fulfilling your potential, not pushing as hard as you could, not doing any construction on yourself – not the best fact to face but what a huge motivator it is!
A fresh (not cold 😜) surge of energy through every fibre of your being will change your trajectory, but just as quickly, circumstances, people & unforeseen circumstances have the ability to violently break that momentum. This is where tapping into that sacred place is like premium fuel in your tank.
Ladies and gentlemen, remember vision boards? I think I’m going to do a little spin on a vision board & make one that reminds me who I am, where I’m going, what I want & that every desire of my heart is ultimately already mine 😎
Let me come clean & confess that for a while I was convinced we were in the last month of winter until I realised we still had August to go… who’s idea was it to have a 4 month winter this year? Anyway, so during this 2nd to last very cold & gloomy winter’s month try remember that intentionally committing to what’s important to you will only allow those important things (& relationships) to grow & bloom. Remaining hopeful even when you’re not sure what to to cling to isn’t easy, but what’s the alternative? How can we expect amazing, mind-blowing, out of this world, if we don’t hold onto hope? Sometimes when our plans don’t work out the way we thought they would or when things take so much longer than you ever imagined, how do you stay expectant?
Romans 12:11-12 11 Never let the fire in your heart go out. Keep it alive. Serve the Lord. 12 When you hope, be joyful. When you suffer, be patient. When you pray, be faithful.
